Wasting insight and discourageing committment

One of the disappointing things that one sees often in businesses that re struggling to come to grips with growth and expansion is the sacrifice of insight ,experience and skills in exchange for expedient, superficial and ill planned management and succession plans.Without a true and attentive assessment of staff needs and strong employer leadership/vision and a sense of mission many employees are wasted as assets .Many respond by leaving or worse, many stay in disgruntled semi obedience and stiffled and or semi productive roles, with attitudes and behaviours to match. The culture or ill defined directions produce a negative attitude and a non committed and unimaginative workforce.

Like in most realms of life a lack of clear goals, encouragement, appreciation of effort made and a call to participation being valued in some way will lead to a lethargic, disinterested and perhaps in the worst case an antagonistic culture that becomes a disunified and self serving entity that does not care about the core business and business of preserving a companies greatest asset its human resource of knowledge, experience and committment. In easier times such assets use can be turned over and replaced or patched with temporary staff functionaries. This does not necesarily build or create permanent, competitive and outward looking innovative approaches to your business management strategy nor your core business.
